Rockery plants
Rock plants are characterised as compact, delicate, prolific flowerers.
Most will flourish in well drained soil which has a suitable aspect;
they can survive extremes of temperatures but do not like being
wet. Niches or crevices in walls and paths are ideal planting sites.
Trailing and spreading alpine plants can soften hard landscaping
with cascades of colour.
